doctorbob,
I'm on the trail of another GTO now but would still be interested to see the pictures of your Olds. My first ever new car and muscle car was a '66 GTO which is why I am trying to find one. I got more tickets in that car than I could count. I wish I still had it.

I'm in for the dinner (3 people) and the drfting event (2 Vipers for the display). This was a fun event last year and I encourage you all to join us. I will say, however, that watching Cam and crew replace Sam's engine and then watching Sam drift around the buildings and parking area at Maltby...
Karla and I will be out of town so will miss the parade, etc. this year. We are driving to Napa to attend a wedding on the 7th (and probably drink some wine). Have fun!
Bob K
Scott,
You photo shopped that picture - right? You made yourself really small so the boat would look bigger, right;) ? I think you should name it "PEE-WEE" or something similar:lmao: . Let me know when you have learned how to drive it and then I will bum a ride!!

Is everyone dead?
I just installed the reflashed - reflashed engine controller in my SRT/10 coupe. Hopefully I will have gained more power & torque than the first reflash. I'll put a few miles on it and re-dyno.:drive:
I had Cam install a roll bar in my '96 GTS and now the front splitter...
Fun video. Two things that struck me: He did a poor job of apexing many of the corners (very wide) and I'm surprised you didn't gain significantly on him on the straight.
Just a note on in car video: the meter on the camera will pick up the light (or lack thereof) inside the car thus making...
At VOI in Vegas I ran my '96 GTS (467 rwhp & 503 rwtorq) against 3 different SRT/10's on the drag strip. I don't know the experience of the drivers or the mods to their cars but I beat all of them by several car lengths and I am not a very good drag racer. I have never dragged my SRTC to make a...
I just looked at the results of the Nevada Open Road Challenge from last week. Hugh Hoard made 3 passes in the standing mile at 170, 200 and 202mph. with his '97 Viper (I assume a GTS). Does anyone know him and how his car is set up? Given that the event takes place at 6,000 ft elevation he must...
Update.
The weather report for tomorrow indicates a strong likelihood of rain and thunder showers. I am planning to leave home for the Krispy Kreme at 6:45 AM. However, IF IT IS RAINING I WON'T BE GOING! I spoke with Bill S. last night and he is planning to go rain or shine. For those of you who...
Thanks, you have been very helpful (about 50/50 I'd say).:dunno:
The Z06 belongs to my wife and she has been talking like she wants a change - but another Viper is not what she has in mind. Now maybe if I taught her to drive the FE GTS I could make a case for it.:D
Bob K
Maybe I'll wait...
I'm just thinking at this point in time. My FE GTS has about 4,000 miles on it and I hardly ever drive it. It's not that I don't like it - I love it. It is parked in my garage such that I have to move two cars to get it out. It is totally stock so the exhaust sound doesn't excite me (my wife...
The biggest car show in the area (as many as 800 cars have participated in the past) takes place this Sunday May 20th. We have always had good participation in the past and hope to repeat that again this year. We will meet as usual at the Krispy Kreme in Issaqua at 7:15 AM and leave for the show...
I am more interested in Pacific Raceway even though the trafic getting there will suck. Last week I donated a drag racing experience to Karla's church auction (raising money to build a Habitat for Humanity house). I wanted to make some passes down there to tune myself up before I give the...
It's open test and tune tomorrow at Pacific Raceway and the weather is supposed to be good. I am planning to go down and get a few practice runs in and would like some company. Anyone??
:drive: :drive: :drive:

P.S. It would be a good warm-up for the dyno day on Saturday.
The only thing that bothers me is that the tabs are all bent the same way. I would have bent them so that the right side bent out to the right and the left side out to the left. That's just my ACD coming through. Otherwise it looks good.
Bob K
Did you tell him about this website so that he can hook up with us? He needs to join the WAVCA so that he can find out what Viper ownership really means.
Bob K
Pacific Raceway is having an open test and tune day Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM. I think I'm going to go. It would be fun to have some other Vipers there also. Let's hear from you so we can set up a time, meeting place, etc.

Update:
I stopped by the dyno shop yesterday to see what was happening. There was an '07 Z06 on the dyno at the time (factory stock with about 1500 miles). He did 7 pulls and it got stronger with each one. The last one pulled 460 rwhp and about 430 torq.
I decided to put my SRTC on to see what...
If the weight of the tow vehicle is supposed to be more than the trailer how can Ford advertise (on TV) that the new F150 pickup can tow 10,000 lbs ( it might even be 11,000, I can't remember)? I doubt that it weighs close to that.
Bob K
That's a nice setup you have. How much does the empty trailer weigh and what vehicle are you towing it with (what engine?)? I am close to ordering a trailer in partnership with my neighbor who also owns a Viper (and a few other cars). I plan to pull it with my '06 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland...
O.K,. I put my OBDII reader on and it indicated 2 fault codes and 1 pending code.
First fault code: PO138 O2 sensor circuit high volts (bank 1 sensor 2)
Second fault code: PO158 O2 sensor circuit high volts (bank 2 sensor 2)
Third pending code - PO138, same as above
Can anyone here translate...
Installed the reflashed controller Friday along with a 170 degree thermostat. The only mods on my SRTC are K&N intake and Mopar race exhaust. The weather here has been too crapy to drive much but the first thing I noticed was a tremendous increase in the popping and burbling of the exhaust...
