I did this swap on my Gen11. Works really nice. If you do a search "GenIII seats into a GenII" you should see a thread that has really good pictures and a step by step. That is what I used when I did mine. The only thing I did different is I made my brackets out of aluminum instead of steel...
I know. My dad ganked it from last week to check something on his RV. I guess he is paying me back for all the times I got into his tools when I was little because he took it with him on his trip.
So, I was using a test light on my Viper. I was trying to see if my fuel selonoid was getting power when the throttle switch was engaged. I connected one end of my test light to ground and then probed the hot wire on the noid. When i engaged the switch the fuse immediately blew. I put in another...
Anyone know anything about a biger ROE? I'm not sure what size the standard ROE is but I read at the alley about a "new" 2.6L ROE. Also, anyone have a 10 pound pulley for sale?
Thanx
I think it would be hard to tell from the rubber pattern on the wheel-well. If you could go to an empty street and just do a quick burn-out and then check out the pattern on the asphalt.
I agree with what you are saying. However, with a set-up like the Roe, the water-meth increases fuel octane for more timing AND acts as an intercooler. I don't think race gas can lower discharge temps from the blower...can it?
I put Gen 3's into my 97 GTS. Love em'. They definitely hold you in place better. I think they are more comfortable as well. Even with the seat all the way back you sit closer to the wheel though. If you are a tall guy, I don't think you would like it.
Had the same thing happen to my 97 GTS. Mine turned out to be a snapped cable. There is a cable that the motor winds and un-winds to raise and lower the window. The cable runs in little idlers. Mine did the same popping as yours and then eventually just quit. Ordered a new assembly and had...
One,
Recently my speedo starting jumping all over the place when I drive. Car is a 97' GTS. I can be doing 30 and it will bounce around from 40 to 130. Have had a re-cal box on for two years becuase of my 3.55's. Does it sound like the box took a dump?
Two,
Every once and a while my...
So, I drove my car last week and it ran perfect. Washed it before going home at a coin wash. I have done this same thing for two years. I go to drive my car today (week after washing) and it had a slight "machine gun" kind of sound to it. Just wasn't right. I went to see if a different card...
I sometimes wonder if this doesn't happen BECUASE of the low miles. If you are going to have them replaced, I would replace them with a poly bushing. Will last much longer and don't deflect as much.
I don't post much but I just had to tell about my Performance by Joe experience. I have a 97 GTS. The car already had a set of bowl blended heads, stock valve sizes, mild cam, nitrous and the other usual bolt-ons: VEC 2, headers, cat back, rockers. Car ran pretty good NA. Made 520/540 on it's...
Went ahead and pulled the sensor. A WHOLE CHUNK OF IT IS BROKEN OFF!!. What the hell?? Can the sensor move in that it would make actual contact with the cam?
Drove my 97' GTS today. Ran great. Got home and realized I had a check engine light. Pulled the code it was a cam position sensor bank 1 fault. Cleared the code and went to start the car and nothing. Spins over fine, just seems like no spark. Checked for fuel pressure - plenty. Code...
Re: Boost gauge problem
To be honest, I got the electric gauge because the local speed shop was out of the mechanical. I am using the map sensor that came with the gauge. Is the nipple by the by-pass valve the only source for both vacum and boost?
I just hooked up a boost guage on my GTS. I spliced into the line going to the Vec2 for the vacum/boost signal to the map sensor for the guage (electric guage). Reads boost great, but at idle I get a zero reading for vacum. Steady cruise vacum reads ok but not at idle. Also, there only...
Just recently my car has developed a "shuddering, popping" noise when making left hand turns from a stop. Only happens when making the turn from a stop to the left. Does not have to be a very sharp turn. The noise comes from the outside (passanger side) rear. I am thinking either the u-joints...
