Had the same problem. New pan, new gasket, fixed timing chain cover and replaced all the gaskets, even added RTV to the bolts. Oil leak stopped temperarly but always returned. It would stop and then gradually start leaking more and more until oil would eventually spray on the back of my car...
I bought that exact tool. Didn't work for me.
I eneded up just using a good socket and palyed around with different extensions to fit my wrench on some of the more difficult to get to plugs.
I don't know how anyone could use that tool! I almost threw it away. But I kept it just in case...
It is a huge compliment!!! The car they are most concerned about beating is the DODGE VIPER!!!:)
That's how awesome our cars are. They have reached the legendary status. They are the measuring stick for which great sports cars are measured against!!!
What a compliment!!!:2tu:
You know the gas cap on the Viper GTS is almost exactly like the ones on the AC Cobra. I don't understand why anyone would want to replace it with an aftermarket one. It's one of my FAVORITE parts on the Viper. It screams 60 Muscle era!!!
You know a New GT500 is better than the Original. But, would you trade in the Original for a new one?
IMHO I really think the Original GTS is a keeper. Especially an ACR.
But, it's your $$$
Trust your gut!:)
Got the oil leak fixed and took her home on Wednesday. It looks as if they did a great job. Will keep my eyes open and keep checking for oil. But, no leaks thus far.
The only thing that I hate about taking my car in is when they TRY to Detail it!
They sprayed Armoral all over the engine...
I wish I could own a lot of cars and afford to take care of them.
But just have three.

I need to get some pics!
I use the ICE too, works great- as for durability, if your car is a weekend warrior (aka queen) than you dont really need to wax often at all, 2x year for me, Spring and Fall.

That's what I figured. Have used Zano. Works good.
Been using the MAGRS> NX wax and it works very well. But lots of powder and white residue on areas. That's why I was hoping the ICE might be the next big thing in wax. No white residue, no powder and you can put it on plastic and put it...
Well a couple of weeks ago I put a couple of pictures on the forum and asked you guys what you thought might be the source of my oil leak.
Thank you so much for all of your replies! You guys are so willing to help!:D
I tried to fix all the suggestion and could not get the oil to stop...
Hey guys,
I bought some Turtle Wax ICE Detailer yesterday and used it on my Hummer. It works great.
I usually use MGWR. or Mothers but the ICE seems to evaporate a lot faster and soesn't leave behind a resedue like the other detailers sometimes do.
I also used the Synthetic Wax on the...

I found the source of the leak last night. It is leaking from the oil pan on the passanger side. I took the pan off and cleaned the block, rubber gasket and the lip of the pan. I put some gasket silicon on it and put it back on. It stopped the leak. Well, most of it. It drips a little...
Hey Guys,
My 1996 GTS is leaking oil. I think it is the timeing seal? I took some pics and was wondering if anyone can tell by looking at the pics if the timing seal is the culprit?
I had a hard time posting pics so I put them on my coaching website. They are under GTS oil Leak. The pictures...
