Just listed a set of Motons if anyone interested....

Checking in real quick. Tucker, nothing showing in PM's yet. Perhaps it's delayed? I'll send you a PM and see if it pushes through. Both of our cars were Gen III's. Mine was an '06. They bolt right up (although I must say it's a bit of a PITA to do the rears -- the easy way is to remove...

Just listed a set of Motons if anyone interested....

Hey guys, it's been sometime since I sold my car and I miss this place. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I listed some Motons in the Classified section (I don't know if they ad is showing up just yet though) for a friend. The shocks are in great shape and the $2200 price seems...

Mad props to your attorney, who I hear is also a huge Viper fan!!!!! ;)

Fair trade in for 2006 coupe blk/sil???

Given the Manheim data, it seems like $50k for a private party sale will be the right number. I'm the original owner, always took care of it meticulously and can tell the next buyer about the history of the car, etc. I have to think that is a bit more comforting to a potential buyer than...

Fair trade in for 2006 coupe blk/sil???

Thanks guys for the great responses. I'll list it today privately and try to get the $50k. I'm in no hurry to sell and I love the car, so I can hold out a bit. This car gets compliments everywhere we go, the cameras come out, people pose next to it, etc.... people always say "best Viper...

Fair trade in for 2006 coupe blk/sil???

Well, it's time to start thinking about getting rid of my beloved coupe. I find that I just don't drive it and it shouldn't just be sitting all lonely in the garage. She deserves a better home, with someone who can spend time with her. What is a fair trade-in if I start speaking to dealers...

Looking for New Wheels for blk/sil coupe...

I'm in the market for new wheels for my '06 blk/sil coupe and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with Advance One or ADV.1 wheels? Or perhaps the new 360 Concave series? I like the newer no-lip designs of those companies (i.e. similar to the HRE monoblocks but without the HRE...

On site at Tomball Dodge, ACRs galore!

Incredible! Looks like someone took a gamble and tried to corner the market on acr's thinking '09 might have been the last year for the Viper (i.e. when dodge was closing dealers and before the Fiat merger). It was a risky move, but could have paid off big if the Viper brand went away forever...

    Stripe question...

That's not a common condition as far as I can tell from my 7k mile blk/sil car. My stripes look perfect, but then again it seems that I take care of my car far better than the example you viewed.

Now this is what I'm talking about!!! Sean just made Gen III cars very, very desireable again.

    question about motons

So, what's the easiest way to recharge? Send them in to someone or do it myself with the recharge kit. Do I really need a kit, or just find some nitrogen? Any special tools required? I rather not have to take them off the car as that was frustrating enough getting them in by myself.

    New interior for ACR

I could see doing the upper half of the dash (everything above the glove compartment), wrap around to upper part of doors, and headliner. So, no console, no lower doors. Seats could use some real leather, but I'm not sure they need the alcantera treatment also. I would think that would be far...

Price Uptick on Used Viper SRT-10's?

Well, I'm having a hard time finding those '08's in the low 60's that were all over the place just a few months ago. It doesn't impact me because, like I said, I'm just trading one for another. And, I also plan to drive it and not worry about resale. I mentioned it only because it seemed odd...

Price Uptick on Used Viper SRT-10's?

Getting that annual itch again to swap out the '06 for a Gen IV and it appears that prices are rising (eBay, Cars.com, autotrader.com). The net impact for me compared to 4-6 months ago is probably nil given that the uptick will likely mean more $$$ for my outgoing vehicle as well. Nonetheless...

    Viper SRT/ACR Wind Tunnel Testing

Nice to see that even the Coupe has approx 550 lbs of downforce at 150mph and about 250 at 100mph....

    First Twin Turbo Gen IV

Heffner and Hennessey are now focused on different cars (even though both got their start with Vipers, Heffner seems to be focusing on Lambos and Hennessey seems to be working the GTR, Camaro, ZR1 crowd these days).

Just got back from Paris to this in my driveway...

As they say, traveling internationally is wonderful but after awhile you can't wait to get home. I'll bet that's never been more true ;)

    First Twin Turbo Gen IV

Aren't an '06 tt build and an '08 tt build going to net about similar hp? They use the same block, and both are typically overbored and then built up with forged parts. Don't you end up with basically the same engine except for the VVT? So, although it is a great achievement to crack the '08...

    Ticking Sound in 05 Motor

Could be one of a few things. A bad lifter is possible, which is not a difficult or expensive fix. Could also be a bent pushrod for the lifter, which I hear is common when an engine is started cold and given a quick stab at the throttle. Lastly, it could be another bearing. I had a bearing...

    Viper safe for now w/Fiat

As long as there is a Corvette ZR1 looking to lay claim as a Ferrari-beater and world class performer at a value price, then Fiat has a motivation to go after that market segment with the Viper. A redesign is necessary, but they could easily produce the car we all want to see in a $120-130k...

New Chrysler is a go. S.CT lifts stay and bows out

Oh, and now, we're going to get ourselves out of this mess by printing so much money that nobody wants to buy the Treasury bills to take on the debt. As a result, the govt has to lower the prices and jack up the rates to make them attractive, and even then, weak demand for our debt. So, the...

New Chrysler is a go. S.CT lifts stay and bows out

And anyone who thinks Obama inherited a poor economy needs to recall that the house of cards was built on Clinton's watch. Dow 12,000, Nasdaq 5,000, everyone thinking they could afford $1m luxury condos, and banks stupid enough to loan people the money to buy them, was all done under Slick...

    My new Street Serpent!!

Now that's the way that tapered stripes should look. The '08-'09 are too thin towards the front. These are perfect and much closer to a true comp coupe. The rest of the work looks terrific as well. You never get tired of those colors on a Viper either.

    Extended Warranty

Martin is correct that the first and foremost question to be asked must be "who is the obligor of the extended warranty?" That is, who backs the coverage and pays a claim if one is made. Start there and then determine the viability of that entity.
