Can someone explain why the on-line vote (site posted earlier), is just the opposite from this forum? On-line shows 78% love, 3% hate. Comments here seem to indicate just the opposite. Are those that frequent this forum SO much different in their tastes, or are some just not speaking out?

I sort of wonder that too. However, the entire number of those of us fortunate (or is it warped?) enough to ACTUALLY BUY one of these cars is pretty miniscule when compared to the total number of new cars sold. Don't let it bug you.

Like somebody said on that poll- "where's the truck?"

Actually, the new one may appeal to a broader market.

Let's face it, the Viper we know of is a balls out, pure testosterone, screaming out loud ... maybe even ****** car.

and 1) people in general buy Toyotas, and 2) there are probably a lot more people who buy C5's and M5's and fewer that will buy an older Ferrari Testarossa - the only comperable exotic I can think of in Viper's price range.

And then there is that German influence. Are there any German exotics? Nope.
