Now that's just silly ... could the 08 owners be any luckier. And this is with mods developed with the car being out for what, a couple weeks...

Well, i was going to upgrade to an 08 hood & a set of gears, now I'm thinking I'll start saving up & instead of just the hood, include the rest of the car too. Man, I think I'm officially changing my dream car from the Ford GT to the 08 SRT.

Congrat's all you 08 guys ... I hate you. j/k

Come on folks! Get out the Mopar package at a killer priced DEALER INSTALLED option and WALK that ZR-1 or whatever that falling-apart-blowing-up Chevy piece of crap is going to be called :D

As if I wasn't jealous enough of you 08 owners. Someday...

Yes, it just makes me ecstatic that I was convinced I should buy an 06 because the "08s were going to be so much more money"

Well, I'm pretty sure dealers can get the parts (I know Woodhouse has some sets of the headers) and my dealer is going to install it. I think what's missing is you can't just check an options code box for the "Mopar package", at least not yet.

Yeah, I feel your pain. I was a hair's width away from selling my 96 to get an 06 coupe when I saw the B/W color came back. Really glad I didn't pull the trigger on that, just couldn't bring myself to part with the GTS. I'll be getting a used 08 in 3 or 4 years and keeping my GTS.

*whispering voice* Yo Chris (Y2K) you listening and briefing this thought on to Dodge?

I don't think any of us really believe that will happen, because of EPA certification issues. I believe SRT is doing all they can, just to offer an engineered package over the counter.

Clarification: Quote by John H: 608 rw hp sae with Hennessey 1 7/8 long tube stainless steel headers flowing thru a 3 inch exhaust system sans cats. I think that is all its going to make until we get some ported heads on the car.

1. The car is not street legal - no cats.

2. The graph would be more useful if it showed RPM and A/F

3. What fuel was used?

4. Did the car run normally without the cats other than on the dyno?

5. I am a little skeptical of the numbers achieved by the stated mods. It would be nice to see verification by an independent dyno test done by someone other than the long tube header source.

..Wonder just how long "long tube" means considering it's also supposed to have Burn's collectors. Which are already kinda lengthy.

There was a time when H used to run really long primaries. After he enlarged the hole in the side of the frame, all 5 of them would make the turn under the sills before meeting in the collector, but I don't think these primaries are that long.

- You could run aftermarket cats without losing any power, with the right imaginative configuration under the sills..

Is there a dealer-installed option for headers? With factory parts and continued warrenty?
