5-panel rear view mirror opinions

The sun and heat finally did my rear view mirror adhesive in, and instead of just gluing it back on, im tempted to get a 5-panel rear view instead.

Anyone have any stong opinions on these in a Gen 2? Figured anything at this point would improve rear visibility, and since the oem mirror is already off, mounting something using the sun visor hardware would be easier.

JEGS and Speedway have a cheap general application one, but I'm hoping there is something out there that is a bit better form for our cars.

The racecar I bought has one of those mirrors on it. I have not gotten it on track yet, but I'm sure it will be appreciated.

I’d go with the 5-panel. If the OEM mirror is already off, it’s a good opportunity to improve the rear visibility instead of just putting the same mirror back on. I’d look for a quality universal/Wink-style mirror rather than the cheapest JEGS/Speedway option, though. Mounting it to the sun visor hardware sounds like a pretty clean solution for the Gen 2.

I have one that mounts to the sun visor location. The best solution for street use imo is just move the factory mirror up to the top of the windshield so it’s not in the driver’s line of sight. These 5 panels block a ton of windshield real estate. Maybe not an issue for shorter guys though.
