60\' time pilots

I just finished racing at the RSI V-10 Challenge with MVP products sponsoring the Supra challengers. I pulled off a 1.76 sec 60' time on my second pass. No wheel spin, slightly preloading the suspension against the line lock. My next best time was 1.84. Any other people able to get similar times with a mostly STOCK viper?

thanks

Fuelman pulled a 1.5X on pilots in BG in '03 with his Roe GTS.

The first time I ever drag raced was in Bowling Green 04 V-10 Nats. After 3-4 passes I managed a 1.56 with Scherzburg's pilot sports. I had a Roe w/5 lb, headers , and exhaust. :2tu:

Re: 60\' time pilots

I pulled a 1.89 60' time with a stock Viper on pilots.

I launched at 2000rpm and went WOT when I felt it grip.

This was on the way to a 12.3 1/4.

Hopefully my new Kumhos will allow me enough traction 60' & on my 1-2 shift to hit 11s.

Some of those times are incredible, but the extra power must really help once you get a little stick. Thats assuming you can be full throttle within 60'. I really am not sure. Maybe I need to step off 60' next time I go to the track.
Anyhow, how about some more Vipers chiming in with 500hp or less.

Re: 60\' time pilots

My best time with Pilots with 422RWHP was a 1.9 enroute to a 12.35. I ran a 1.8 enroute to a 12.12 with BFGs a month later, but the conditions weren't as good as the day I ran on pilots (it was much warmer the second time). I think I would have been in the high 1.7s had it been a tad cooler. But, then again, I am not the best drag racer, so I am sure there are many drivers who could best my time with my car.
