Call Schroth Within the USA 1-888-467-3269 / 978-532-1145 or the Parts Rack and replace the MOMO's. F1 and CART use Schroth NASCAR uses Simpson. I think Roe Racing may be handling Schroth?

I had SHROTH in my RT and my GTS. Now, TeamTech.

A good VCA / SCCA club friend graduated to Formula Mazda, and now Formula Atlantic, and has brand-new 2/01 SHROTH, with additional pads installed. His adult son is getting the FM, but dad is installing Team Tech 6001 padded system for him.

When buying ANY belt, examine the manufacture date! I just had a MOMO buyer "discover" because of the recall that he had bought belts that were already 9 months old when he bought them, and so expiring this month!

TeamTech belts are stamped NOW, with a 1-month shipping lead time allowance on the tag.

I absolutely love my car and wouldn't trade it for anything. With that said, I certainly have some heartburn over the ACR package.

There's the Koni shock rattle (all 99's, about 60% of the 2000's) that persists despite many outstanding efforts to resolve this problem both through private experimentation as well as an appeal to Dodge.

Then there's the baffled oil pan issue. It was supposed to be standard on the ACR but for reasons that are unclear, never made it onto the production car. It was (maybe still is) offered by DC with the claim that it is an ACR production part. Since I enjoy road racing, I spend the nearly $1,000 to resolve the issue.

Finally, there's the safety harness recall, which just happens to coincide with the start of racing season. The fact that DC is yet to initiate formal action is completely absurd and inconsistent with the response one would rightfully expect.

OK, the BBS wheels are great and the dash plaque and exterior emblems are distinctive and perform well .…. for the time being at least!

I heard that the GT2 belts were NOT part of the recal. They were only after market belts.

"I hope they just send the darn replacement harness with the recall notification and save us all a trip to the dealership"

ABSOLUTELY!!! Somehow, I doubt it will happen this way (they will cite some reason about safety, making sure the belts are installed right, or some such)- but, maybe the GT2 and ACR owners will be given a break and will just be sent replacement harnesses. It would be great to keep the original harness (for originality's sake on these scarce cars) and to avoid the hassle involved in having it done at the dealership...

Maybe not dropped at your door but for the North Carolina and surrounding area cars I'm looking into a little personal service when the recall becomes final.Looking into working a club event around the recall where I can bring all needed parts to one place and service the cars at that time or if needed meet with the customers at a time that's good for them.Wish I could do this for more folks but I can only go so far.Tom D&E Dodge Wilmington NC

Has anyone heard anything from DC or their local dealer with regard to the 5 point harness recall on the ACR & GT2 cars?

I have not received a letter, nor have I been able to find out any information as to when and how we can get them replaced. With an upcoming Viper Days event this month and no assurances that DC will reimburse the cost of me purchasing an after-market harness I am not happy.

Any other ACR owners have anything to add?

I can just about assure you that the legal staff at Chrysler Group will never allow the replacement belts be just shipped to you. To ensure safety compliace, Dodge will need to monitor and control the "correct" install of the new belts.

Only some kind of legal 'waiver' might allow otherwise. Dodge IS concerned of "collectibility / originality" issues, esp affecting the (included) GT2. And ACR belt-badging as well?
I hope our VCA officers are having some input in the process. Guys???

Techs like Tom Sessions, Ken Klickman, Dan Cragin, Woodhouse, Roanoke, Fitzgerald, etc would have absolutely no problem...... most "Viper Techs" (the ones that don't know how to burp!) have never done a harness.

Be patient ! I do know that vendor options are being investigated. In my opinion, if it were NOT for lawyers, Team Viper would probably HAVE you your belts !
