Any body know of any \"challenger lift\" dist. that sell less than retail?

looking to pay less than retail if possible. I want to get a challenger 40n00 4 post. The best price with no install is 4000.00 and installed 4500.00

I would post this over in off topic but it's dead over there.

Our Tech Dir. and I have been heavily researching the spectrum of lifts...and HE visited the Challenger factory...with great things to say about them...and, MAY have discussed a VCA discount.

Call me sometime if you need more info....you have my numbers.

As Steve mentioned, I in fact did meet with Challenger after VOI and was very impressed with the operation and their lifts. My car was used in the design of the Viper friendly lift arms. I've researched quite a few lifts since then, including another very high quality lift made in Germany by a company called Nussbaum. I focused on two post and double scissor lifts rather that 4 post as I was looking for a wheels free solution in a rather tight garage. Storage isn't an issue for me.

Steve on the other hand did similar research on 4 posts, so I'll differ to him on any four post questions.

I am planning on soon constructing an extensive post on this research, my own purchase and installation of a Nussbaum Double Scissor Lift plus other lift considerations. In it I'll discuss the VCA discounts that both Challenger Lifts and Nussbaum Lifts now provide.

In the meantime, from 4 inches to 6 1/2 feet with the push of one button.....

Ron,
Thanks for the info. Those Nussbaum lifts look like they are they are well made(made in Germany they must be good!). Please let us know how it worked out for you, and of course pricing. I am looking to get one real soon, and with a VCA discount thats even better!

NICE post, Ron. I must say that the Nussbaum lift is VERY impressive. I could not (YET !!!) go that route with the constraints of my low garage ceilings ( and NEED to park JUST one more Viper)...so I have added a Cytech Double Park in the bay next to the Snap-On Midrise lift. Admittedly, it's a little cramped, BUT IT WORKS !!!!

Hopefully, I can start to evolve a plan for a REAL garage in the near future....and make the ceilings 16 feet high !!!!

It's great to see a garage floor with spots on it...
Does that life REALLY go up 6.5 feet? I'm 6'6" tall- you have my interest! Let me know what the discounts are!

Glad to see there is some interest. I have made copies of the install manual and will be happy to send them to anyone that asks. I also have a pdf of it if you have broadband. On vacation for a bit, but will respond to any inquiries when I get back. Should have the complete post up just after New Years with pricing.

And yes it does go up 78" or 6.5 feet. Add to that the 4 inch Viper ground clearance and you have the bottom of the car at almost 6 foot 10 inches off the ground which is almost too high for me. Rebuilt a 1970 Trans Am on that floor and though I'm not too big on painting garage floors, I admit it looks pretty ugly on film.

Happy Holidays!
