I upgraded to a 172˚ a while back but I'm wanting to go back to the stock setup to see how it runs with the 4-core copper radiator I'm putting in. Does anyone have one they want to get rid of? Shoot me a PM with a price. Thanks!

I just dropped it off this morning. DNT off of Lamar is taking care of it.

I talked to Darren, who was really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. When I called, anything he didn't know off the top of his head he was able to have at his fingertips in a matter of seconds. He answered all of my questions and then some.

If you're interested I can let you know what the quotes come back at. He's going to give me a quote for rebuilding and flushing the stock unit, one for adding a third core and one for 2 additional cores.

Yes... Let me know the outcome. I've been looking at the Alan's, but there are a couple of minor things I don't like about it.

Gen I and Gen II are the same. Jason, I have several and you're welcome to them, but I would not change it out. If you want to go higher, go with the 180.

ViperTony/Mike, let me know if either of you can ship one down to Texas by Friday, and PM me with what you'd want for it. I never asked for my stock one back from A.R.T. when the new 172˚ was installed, so I'd like to see how the rebuilt radiator manages with a stock thermostat.

I woulda PM'd you first, Mike, but I thought you were still traveling!

Hey Jason,
I am, I wouldn't be able to get it to you for a while. Get up with Tony, but I bet if you called ART, they probably have a few lying around too.

Jason, I pulled mine out at 9K miles when I put in the 172 from Roe about a 1yr ago. So it's just sitting in a box in my OEM parts cabinet. You can have mine, just buy me a beer if we ever meet up. I can send it priority mail tomorrow.

Very, VERY much appreciated, Tony! Thanks a million!

I got a call from the radiator shop...72k miles of driving had the flow of the radiator at 40%. He marveled at how clogged the thing was. I'm going to go with my stock 2 rows for now and see how that treats me!

I think compared to what it was doing, my cooling should be at 250% of what it was because it'll be 2 1/2 times better than it was flowing before. I like the sound of that, though math was never my strong suit...

There are some heat transfer formulas I could bore everyone with, but in the end there's no pay it forward benefit to anyone.

Actually, you'll probably be pissed that I posted it and you wasted your time reading it.

On the stat front Jason, I would have sent you mine but there's a Viper under the attic stairs being modded as usual.

I knew it! I'll just say my radiator will "cool more efficiently" and leave the solid numbers to the pros!

Well, Dave, I guess I'll let you off the hook seeing as how the mods you're doing entertain the masses. I can't wait to see the final splitter! And thanks for the rears; I heard my tires squeal for the first time last weekend!
