Interesting? Maybe, but when you think about it, it doesn't make too much sense.

It's a can of shiny stuff. Kinda like a can of clear gloss rustoleum. The 'theory' is that it reflects the flash back towards the camera and blinds it. Nice if the angles are perfect, if not....busted. Try taking a picture of yourself in a mirror. Head on, you get a big bright spot. Step to the side or hold the camera up high and voila, different results. None of the camera boxes I've seen at at plate level and directly in front of you! Now, if they had a box that popped out of the ground just before you passed....

I personally wouldn't trust anything with such a stupid looking ad. The guy with the bug eyes and karate kicking the photo box....pretty lame.

I have the actual tag cover that blocks out photo radar. I ordered it from Canada a couple years ago. The ad was in the back of Car and Driver or Road & Track. I think I paid $25. If you are not directly behind the car, the tag appears blurred. I have been pulled over a couple times (ok, more than a couple) and been through some license & insurance checks and so far only 1 cop has mentioned it being illegal. He didnt ticket me though. I've heard you can get them on Ebay for around $10 now. I'll post some pics of how good it works if I can find where I put them.

The spray is old fashioned Aqua Net hair spray. Buy a can at the drug store and give it a try. Seems to work in before and after night-time electronic photos (I have no idea why) but bet it does nothing in the daytime.

If you have a gts, you can put the transmitter in the net pocket above the mirror. They are passive devices and seems to work fine there for me.

Why? I mount my EZPass on the windshield behind the mirror and don't see it at all.

It doesn't work. This was tried by the local tv reporter and reported on a 5pm news a while back. Tried it on the toll boths and did not work. Just a waste of your time and money.

Scam. The state is not going to lose money because of hair spray, not matter how good it is. If they can come up with prism decoders for those plate covers that distort the numbers then seeing through flashback can't be that difficult.
