Are the Koni\'s adjustable on Gen1\'s?

I'm lining up a couple of friends to help me with an Eibach install on my '94 this weekend, as well as the general pre-winter storage stuff. In looking through the archives from others that have installed springs, I noticed that most folks adjusted their shocks to increase damping; however it seemed that everyone doing this had Gen2's. Just wanted to know if the Gen1's were adjustable as well...

Thanks!
Mike

MIKE: ABSOLUTELY ! Rebound-Adjustable. If your email link was active I could help you. [ Think about this, all you anonymous posters . Why Hide? ]

They are not externally adjustable. You have to remove them to adjust / re-index them, but you plan to do this anyway! Call for details. THANKS !

Re: Are the Koni\'s adjustable on Gen1\'s?

Hi Guys,
Sorry I don't have the email link on; another board I was on got hacked at some point, which got me on a lot of spam lists, so....
I'd appreciate hearing about the adjustment. Is it similar to the Porsches, where you have to compress the shock and then rotate until some "key" inside catches? Do you have any recommended damper settings for an otherwise stock suspension? I'd call, but I know you're always quite busy, and don't want to take to much of your time.

Thanks!

I must have gotten bad information. When I had mine apart I emailed Koni and was told that there were no adjustments. They said I could send them in to get re-valved. I am looking for the email and will post.

As you said; compress, catch, turn. The range of adjustment is 5 half turns (2.5 turns.)

I like full stiff on front, about half or two-thirds on the rear. Stay stiffer on the front that the rear to prevent that initial oversteer feeling.
