BAD night at the track...

Started off we were running a little late...

We get everything unloaded, pull around in the lane and they don't even take up our driver's sheet

First race... for some reason he wants to try leaving in 2nd... and the results:
slips the clutch all the way through 1st gear (glazes the clutch so bad there is smoke coming up inside the car)... car is still spinning at about 300', then around the 330' mark the car kicks sideways towards the other lane, he lets off, changes gears and finishes the race. That race was by far the worst of the night... 60' Time: 1.93, 330': 5.57, ET: 8.43, MPH: 92.73

Second race... left in 1st, car is still spinning through nearly the 330' mark... best finish of the night though: 60' Time: 1.90, 330': 5.32, ET: 7.53, MPH: 99.83

Last race... left in 1st, car spins bad (kicks sideways), misses second gear, lets off... results: 60': 1.93, ET: 8.01, MPH: 98.12

The track was in BAD condition... NO TRACTION, should have replaced the clutch and flywheel before we went and I know the drag tires would have definitely helped... we just could not get the car to hook-up at all... :dunno:

It really wasn't so much the driver as he made a pass in the diesel at:
60': 1.57, 330': 4.03, ET: 6.76, MPH: 103.37

And to think that when I read the title of your thread I thought that you broke.

Anytime you can drive home from the track, it's a good day at the track.

I guess your right...

we didn't have to worry about breaking anything though... I was more worried about him sliding into the retaining wall...

I think if we can get the 60' in the 1.6 range... I will get the ET/MPH that was hoping for...

I know we need to practice more... that was the first time on the track since the supercharger and only the second time ever on the track...

I am getting a set of the Hoosier drag radials for next time.
