Battery Dying quickly?

My 94 Viper has just had another battery go down. This last one was purchased in Nov 02 and I only put about 4K miles on the car. I use the car at least 8 months a year as I live in NY.
Seems quick for a battery to die, is there a problem with the alternator by chance?
Any other ideas or is this fairly normal?

sounds like something is draing the battery - you might have a short.

you need to find someone who is handy with an electrical meter, and start testing to see if anything is "on" when the car is shut off.

could be an over chargeing issue as well. I would put a meter on the battery and see what voltage is.
