bone stock, 1200 miles, 13.228, 5860 ft, is this good?

this was at Bandimere speedway in Denver this past wednesday. Couldnt do much more than 14.00x with 60' at 2.2x constantly. Friend of mine took it and on the last run did a bit longer burnout and hooked much better (60' of 2.059) on the stock Pilots.

Anyway, temp was 70, humidity 46%, baro 24.11 inches. 25 PSI in the rear and stock up front.

I went to the NHRA site to see the calculator from 5900 ft to sea level and it converted the above time to a [email protected].

Just wanted some thoughts on the run for this many miles, stock filters, shifter, etc and the elevation.

That elevation KILLS you.

I ran a [email protected] with a 1.94 60'on Pilots at 28#. This was with my BONE STOCK 01 GTS in high 80 degree temps and relative humidity in the 90s.

It was only my 2nd pass in the Viper and done at a conservative 2000rpm launch.

But, it was also at ATCO which is very close to sea level and a VERY well prepped track.

I know many 03 Cobra guys who run in Colorado and their times are off by almost a FULL SECOND. They say running an 11 in Colorado is like running a 10 at sea level - I believe them.

That NHRA correction gives you an idea how you would run in GOOD conditions at sea level - whic looks correct.

I still think you can get in to the 12s with a better 60' and some practice even at that elevation.

Anything in the low 13's is good given your elevation. I would say that 14's are a bit high. With my stock 97' gts I ran a 12.79 @114 mph @4500ft.

I would ask the other viper guys in your area what they run.
