Broke a Unitrax Half shaft - Thought it was rated for 1000hp

I bought these new some 3-4yrs ? ago. I don't think I have more than 10k miles on them. I bought the higher hp ones for weight savings and a piece of mind knowing I would never break them. My car only makes 490/520 at the rear wheels on motor and I do spray it. Last night I had a short (no pun intended) spirited drive that resulted in this

Im reluctant to buy another pair now or will Unitrax warranty these? Seems like a bad weld or something ? Luckily where it broke the carnage was minimal and no other damage was done. Just a $140 ride (tow) home

Anyone else have a bad experience with one of these ?

you must have really caught a good bite in road surface,something has to give,and i promise u that was the cheapest thing to break,thank your lucky stars for they are meant to snap..

1.40's are pretty good. I'm sure it put a lot of stress on them. What did you launch at? Was it pretty high revs?
