Chuck\'s brake upgrade

Chuck just got finished installing '03s on my front, moving my 00 fronts to rear and installing e-brake on rear. Good job and got car back clean. Ready to go under the cover for a couple of months. Car can stop on a dime. Big difference noted with only quick street driving. Looking forward to Pocono.

Hey Chuck, BTW, no problem on the handle, I was looking for a place to hang my coat.

Thanks for the report Andrew! I'm up for the process next and it's nice for someone else to be the "guinea pig".

Chuck...maybe we should schedule an appointment now? :D Pretty please?

Re: Chuck\'s brake upgrade

I keep asking Chuck where the button is for the auxillary braking system, via anvil. In any case, I have to be especially careful for whomever is on my right as I go around turns at the track as my aux system will tend to shift to the outside. Chuck is looking to do some more track time, I'll be sure he's on my right.

Dave, I have to call you RE: wheels.

Does that mean you got ABS as well or just 03 Calipers, pads, etc? Sorry for my ignorance.

Think the ANVIL is in a trap door in the trunk,Press a button and it drops out onto the road..
With that added weight you will get a little better traction on your launch as well LOL LOL........

Re: Chuck\'s brake upgrade

Yo D,

You have aftermarket wheels with good offset, so you just use ALL SRT-10 Calipers and 4 SRT Front 14"rotors :usa: You have ABS, so you don't need to do what Andrew did.
Here' my 2002 with all SRT-10 Calipers and rotors

Re: Chuck\'s brake upgrade

Does D ever actually USE his brakes? I think this is just about more bling.

Save the cost of the hardware and just send out the calipers and hats for powdercoating! :D

Hey what's happening Dave, I'm sorry I have missed you guys lately.

I have had a rough go, but the car is doing great. I will see everyone in January.

I hope everyone is well.
