I changed my amber corner light covers to clear corner light covers this weekend, fairly easy job but for the rear bolts (each cover has 2 bolts, the front is sufficient to keep the light in, but I wanted both in, and figured out an angle to do it at). I think they came out looking quite nice, especially on a silver Viper ;) I got mine via procarparts.com IIRC, by buying them a few bucks cheaper on one of their frequent ebay auctions ($40+$9S/H). If anyone wants some installed at ViperDays @ VIR, let me know and I'll help out (you have to buy and bring the covers though!) Here's some pics:

Looks good Sluaghter! Your right, I think the clear corners look especially good on the silver. How long did it take you to change them out?

It didn't take long, longer to do the first one due to the trouble of trying to get the 2nd bolt back on, real quick to do the second one once learning a good angle (opening up on that one ;) ), probably 15 min total, including getting the right size wrench (10mm), repeatedly dropping the 2nd bolt on the first cover, and having to find it by feel inside the front fascia, etc.

Yeah they really integrate the looks of the front fascia on a silver Viper.

Mine is blue with silver stripes/wheels and I added the clear side markers, and really like the look better.

It wouldn't look good with every color, and red and yellow Vipers would likely look worse, but with silver it's a visible improvement.

And how many times have you taken your Viper to a track/auto-X/drag strip?

Once, (strip) but I'm too embarrassed to reveal my time / speed.
Does bench racing count (I do that all the time!)? LOL!!!!!!

Slaughterj,

The clear corners look great, and I cant wait to get mine.

Did you buy this car new? Or did you buy it off someone? Are you aware of the hood allignement being very wrong?

Had the car a couple years, just got the front end back on after my deer incident, need an adjustment to the left front of the front fascia I believe - or are you referring to something else?

Yup looking at it again, you are right its the facia that needs to be adjusted. Looks like the facia needs to tilt up to make an even line with the hood.
