In Italy, do the cars have the same 12V cig lighter plug in their vehicles? IE, could I charge my laptop/electronics with the same vehicle plugin that I use in the states, or do I need a different power inverter? Thanks!

I'm heading to Rome, Florence, and the Amalfi Coast (Positano, etc.). I definitely plan to rent a car while on the coast. If Rome and Florence traffic are still the same as two years ago, I'll pass on the driving in those two cities. I'll have to look into that Alfa!

OK, my post was a second late! :p

So when will you be around Positano? I was just there last week, and live about 1hr from there. But only for another 6 weeks or so.

Driving in Florence and Rome is nothing compared to here in Naples! And don't think I am kidding!
Drive to positano is Awesome and mostly tourists, so traffic is more normal. :usa:

Casey - I will cruise Northern Italy next month (live in Austria now).
We are thinking about Tuscany. Any recommendations ?
Also - do you know whether it is possible to visit the Lambo or Ferrari plant ?

Yves, if you haven't been to Italy before and are coming from Austria, then I would suggest starting in Venice, then hitting Verona, Lago De Garda, on your way to Florence.
Really depends on how much time you plan on traveling. Also, do you want to see all the 'Sights' or relax and hang out?

In regards to the Ferrari plant, or Lambo plant. I will know more about that soon, I am getting together with a Ferrari dealer in the next few days. Lambo though, I have no clue.
