Treesnake, what did you do after removing the cats? O2 simms or reprogramming of the PCM to get rid off the CEL codes?

It's a super top secret part...:D

Seriously... (I hope I don't get in any trouble for this)

Justin at JMB Performance makes the part. He calls it a mechanical simulator. It is a part that works in conjunction with your existing O2 sensor. I got the part from JMB Performance for around $20.

DETLEF... I do have electric Sims in my gen 2. They were about $150 or so. That was before Justin designed his part.

FWIW...I do need to make "special arrangements" for vehicle inspections...

It changed 2 years ago to no longer be required. Now with the tree huggers in office, I am wondering if that will be overturned :(

good o-post and good answer :2tu:

that explains the change (in pops and let off idle) after the SCT tune :drive:

EUCHARISTOS... How did yours change after the SCT? Both coupes I am referencing have SCTs and they still sound like I'm at the track....:D

Thanks for the info regarding the tuners. I am planning to get a modified tune put in the SCT after a couple of dyno pulls. I'll be sure to tell them to leave the "POP"

Popping deceleration - excess fuel

Popping acceleration - timing

Popping during deceleration and then acceleration - Drive by Shooting

This was the best part of the whole thread.:lmao:
Living in certain areas of KC we have some of the deceleration and then acceleration.

Hey I've been to KC... Both of em... :omg:

Late at night traveling cross country in a Prowler... we looked for a place to stay. After talking to a security guard at a Comfort Inn... We went to the Sheraton KC K... :boozer:
So nice of him to tell us we were outnumbered... LOL

Yes, there are certain parts of KC you just stay away from in the evening.

Now that we have hijacked the thread I'll try and revive it.

Buffalo in Yellowstone do not appreciate the popping sound.
Moose in Montana move very quick after hearing it.

I love the popping. Mine also shoots out a flame on a hard acceleration between 2/3 shift and 3/4 shift. My Ferrari / Lambo buddies love following me when we hit the highway and seeing the flame. I asked them if it did it from the 4/5 shift but they couldnt see me anymore I was so far ahead of them... :) LOL
