False Alarms

My car alarm seems to go off for no reason. I have an '05 w/900 miles on it and just being a Viper gets enough attention but people really look at it w/ the loud "beep-beep". You can re-set it and it will do the same thing 20 mins later. Anybody have any experience or knowledge on this one.

p.s I have heard there is an adjustment somewhere?

Happened to me twice, but it just corrected itself. I would take it into the dealer though.

My alarm went off like that once. Apparently when washing the car, trunk sensor switch got wet, shorted, and showed trunk open light on the panel. After blowing out moisture from the switch, the problem stopped. Now I am careful NOT to direct high pressure wash water between the trunk and bumper near the sensor switch. No problems since.

Mine did the same thing about 1/2
a dozen times. Before I could get
anything done to check it out it just
stopped. I haven't had that prob for
several months now.

I wonder if you just momentarily disconnected the battery you would need to reset your pre sets on the radio but it might also reset the fault?
