I'm trying to decide between getting a Vortech Blower or a Paxton Blower installed on my 01 RT.

After reviewing both of there web pages I'm hard pressed to find out why one Blower would be superior to the other..Am I missing something here ?

Aside from some very slight appearance differences they seem to be almost identical .

Thanks !

Does Vortech have a bolt on Viper system ?

I don't think so Tony ..I'm going to be enlisting Mr Heffner's services to install my blower pkg.

I'm just trying to decide if one Blower is a better choice than the other.

Cheers

I'd like to know the sound differences between Paxton, Vortech and ATI... I am supercharging another car, and want something with a little bit of belt noise and whirring at idle, to sound sweet at the line :) Once I'm off the line, I don't really want to hear a whistle though.. any other recommendations on which brand I should go for? They all seem to have similar models...

I had a paxton on my bronco that was pretty quiet. The Autorotor blower that is on the Roe kit I installed has a sweet whine at about 2,000 RPM. I love it. I hated putting all that hard work into the install and not be able to hear it. The car sounds like a funny car at WOT. I think the twin screw by nature is a little louder but I am not sure. I only have the paxton and the roe to compare but the blower in the roe kit is alot louder :headbang:

Paxton is the parent company to Vortech and Paxton is the only company that I know of offering a Viper specific bolt-on upgrade.

Hey Sapphire, I think you better check your water pump 'cause it may be going bad. . . :D

Seriously, the Roe blower (and all Autorotors) are very, very quiet compared to centrifugals. You normally can't hear them at all, although there may be a very slight whistle at times.
