I recently sold my 19" HRE 543s to Propix/Dimitrious for his NYC-based yellow GTS. He wanted black centers so I had the wheels totally redone to suit. I have seen posts in the past wondering what it cost to get 3-piece wheel's refurbished so here are the final figures:

Dismount/mount balance 4 tires @ $25 each = $100
Dis-assemble/re-assemble/seal wheels @ 75 each = $300
(this includes check for true before and after)
Re-polish 4 outer rims @ $50 each = $200
Scotch-Bright rear rim halves @ 10 each = $40
Powder coat center = $180
(this included stripping previous powder w/clear coat - coat looks like black chrome now)
Final Total for all 4 rims = $820

I was hoping it would be around $500, but you know how it works, everything for your Viper costs more than you guessed/anticipated/wanted it to. :D

Who did you use?
I used a place here in town (Tempe Arizona) called Wheels Specialists. They have a facility that includes a CNC mill and lathe equipment that allows them to build their own wheels from scratch. They stopped building their own wheels awhile back, but still use the equipment to do repairs. There site is http://www.wheelspecialists.com and my salesman is Darren. I believe they used to have some affiliation to HRE such as being a certified refurbisher/repair facility but I cannot swear to that. I'll tell you one thing, they have an install facility and it sure is nice to see a wheels shop WITH NO AIR TOOLS ON THE PREMISES. Everything is installed by hand with torque wrenches. Make you feel confident. They also use some strange mounting equipment to help protect fancy wheels (they have giant spinners there that are close to $10k each - insane).

Sounds about right on the price. I sent mine back to Kinesis (in Calif.) last winter and spent just a bit more, due to shipping to and from Va.

Where are the pics!?!?! :)
