Heinz C Prechter, founder of ASC, passed away this past weekend. Some of you may not know who ASC (American Sunroof Corp, now called Automotive Systems & Components) is, but they make all the body panels for the Viper and paint and finish them as well. He committed suicide and was in deep depression for quite some time before this happened, from what I heard on the news clip. I confirmed this by going to their website at www.asc-usa.com/, and unfortunately, it is true. We had the opportunity to visit their plant this past January, and it is an impressive place, to say the least. Very sorry to hear this news.
