Have you tried winshieldstogo, they can be pretty pricey on some models, especially Viper

I've checked everywhere via various contacts, no luck.... I'd buy 2 if they were available. I just got new tires and another interior, the thought of not being able to drive due to no windshield is very disheartening.... I believe Dodge will make it happen though!!

I have a Gen 2 so this doesn't affect me but I'd like to point out that for cars that are 20+ years old, there will always be something that breaks. Today it is the windshield, then the headlight, then the tail light, etc. I don't see Dodge ponying up for a run of parts as it brings all the inventory headaches with it.

Depressing as it is, I think an aftermarket group buy is the way to go. And getting partsrack, safelite and other parts shops to participate would increase the probability of a new manufacturing run. Dodge can help us with manufacturer information, specs, etc.

Great idea and thanks for the input!!.. having a list of 50 -100 potential purchasers would surely help!... im sure Jon B would be willing to help in anyway possible. Do we know who made the gen 1 windshields?

Currently, I only have Gen II so not effected right now. You say that one of your contacts would sell you two. If you give me the details (who, how much, etc) I would consider buying the second. Or if you post the details maybe someone else on the board here would buy it that has a GenI. With windshields it is not a question of if, it is a question of when.

KyViper, I don't have a source for Gen 1 windshields, I was stating that I'd be willing to purchase 2 if we could get find a source. I currently need one..

OK. sorry I miss understood. Still, seems like a group buy to entice a supplier to have some windshields produced might work. A cracked windshield can stop a car from being driven, eventually will start hurting sales on Gen 1.
Wish you luck on finding one.
