I just installed a set of B&B headers. I had a VERY hard time to install the header on the driver's side. The pipes were out of specs. I had to replicate the exhaust ports on a 2x4 wood piece and I worked from there. I spent nearly 6 hours to heat, to hammer and to grind the pipes together. On the passanger's side the work only took an hour. Anybody encountered similar difficulties ?

The only problem I had was on the driver's side, the turn-out elbow was at the wrong angle after I fully seated the collector onto the 5 individual pipes. Had to cut the elbow tube, rotate to the correct angle, and weld.
Works fine, sounds great, has not leaked after 2 Viper Days events.

Had a somewhat similar problem myself. Passenger side took twenty minutes....spend almost a whole day on the passenger side installing my Belangers. Was told that the motors are mounted "crooked" and had to shim the motor mounts to make it fit. Apparently they do this quite a bit to make it work.

From all that I have been reading, it sounds as though the Belangers might be a better fit, right out of the box. (?) Can anyone comment on this, as it relates to the Gen 1? I am curious personally, as I am not sure which header to buy for my 95 RT. (?)

NORMAL!!
7 out of 10 go on that way! I've now installed maybe 30 - 35 sets of B&B's and that's how they go on!

Even the Bellanger's aren't guaranteed to be a walk in the park. On my gen I had to disconnect both motor mounts and jack up the motor and push it side to side to get the clearance for the passenger side. One part number now fits gen I and II. Go figure.
