need to keep this post up near the top. if i am not the only one pissed about what DC does to the viper community, i will need your help to try to right the issue. PLEASE email me with the problems that you have had with the DC service plan, as well as your contact info. i am determined to stop the service company from getting away with this.

Maybe if you explain your issue on the forum you might get enhanced feedback from everyone?

I just recently received an Arrow rebuild on my 1996 RT at 35,000 miles. I paid my $100 added-care extended warranty deductible?

Personally I did not notice anything underhanded or untoward? Fill us in our your issue... maybe we can help?

Help us help you.
If you think "going public" may hurt "your case" I understand, but if you can give us a little more info......

i have a DC service plan. i APPLIED for it on 9-15-03. on 9-16-03 DC accepted my app. after only 285 or so miles, my head gasket blew. the condidtion was not pre existing, which DC tried to say that my local dealership told them. after contacting my dealership about the comment, and them dening that they ever said or implied that...they claimed that the rep from service contract said it. this morning i contacted service contract right away, and they denied saying it......well who said it!!! now service contract has changed their reasoning behinde dening the claim to .....the car was not bought from a dodge dealer, so therefore is not able to get a service contract. even though it was pre inspected by a DC dealer prior to the contract. now they have denied my claim, cancled my contract, and "red flagged" my VIN number, and trying to send me my money back. IT IS A LEGAL CONTRACT, THEY NEED TO HONOR IT!!!!!

That does ****. Have you considered getting an attorney? Have you contacted the DC dealer who inspected your Viper prior to the contract being issued??

I do not recall there being a requirement that your Viper has to be purchased from a dealer to be eligible for an extended warranty?

Although, I do recall that extended warranties are not supposed to be able to be purchased on a vehicle older than 1995??

I would probably get an attorney to represent you... have the attorney get the name of the person who completed the pre-inspection before the service contract was issued... get the name of the Viper Tech who allegedly said the head gasket is a pre-existing issue.... cover your bases.... get all the documentation you can.

I purchased my 1996 RT from a private owner in Maryland... he had purchased an extended warranty which I paid $50 to transfer to me?

There was no inspection prior to my transfer of the extended warranty... but I do recall that the prior owner (I am the third owner) did purchase the extended warranty contract from a Dodge dealer... he purchased the Viper from the original owner NOT a dealer.

At first DC tried to deny an Arrow rebuild... but the Viper tech was convinced the Arrow rebuild was necessary and he was able to convince the warranty folks to go through with the Arrow rebuild.

Having the Viper tech on your side is priceless in this game!

Good Luck and keep us posted.

Oh Mr Wizard!!!!!!!!!!!! Call Chuck Tator hopefully he may be able to help or steer you in the right direction.

Chuck, would you care to comment in general about this happening to any of us that have a service contract and "didn't buy our Vipers from a "Dodge Dealer" but got our service contract through a "Dodge Dealer"?

Thanks

.....the car was not bought from a dodge dealer, so therefore is not able to get a service contract.

Absolute BS. There is no way they can say that! Get an attorney and give it to them good. Best of luck.
