So I get to Portland armed with all my new-found knowledge and my checklist in case I forget. "Doc" from NWI picks me up and takes me to their beautiful dealership. On the way, I tell "Doc" all I have learned about the car from the web and VCA ( positioning myself) Then I find out"Doc" is a retired Psycholigist, 2 PHDs and a car enthusiast who wanted to do more than talk to basket cases all day so he now sells all things automotive and beautiful. Now I'm thinking, with his background he probably has me all figured out in the 20 minute ride..... VERY interesting guy. Car is sitting right in the middle of the showroom and he almost immediately asks me "how I want to do this". I tell him I want to look the car over by myself, then put in on their hoist. "Call me when you need me, you know what you're looking for". An hour later, after looking at every square inch and turning on and off every button and opening every compartment we got to the hoist.Same deal, private viewing. It was awesome.
Long story short, it was zero pressure , on my schedule and very pleasant. The key fobs were missing, so they called and ordered 2and made an appointment to program them. They will repair the driver's seat bolster "scrub" Got a cover and a good deal with only minor haggling. There is 1 scratch on the driver's side sill that looks like a pebble was sitting on the sill and the door was opened. I may not be able to live with that and will paint the sill when it comes off for exhaust

Now the crappy part ;waiting to have it delivered.
Thanks to all that helped me and educated me to make the right decision.

Beautiful!!! Glad there was no pressure on you and you got to inspect the car fully at their disposal~~~You've certainly got a beauty there, any minor flaws and all!!! When will it be delivered? Yeah, you'll be waiting on eggshells for it!!! Happy for ya! ~juli

Beautiful ACR! Very nice of the dealer to let you use their hoist and let you look over it alone. I love the color.
