I went to the Big Bend Open Road Race this past week-end.

Here's some in-car video of how I drove the car there:

Coming home was pretty fun too. According to MapQuest, it is 958.7 miles from the center of Fort Stockton to my home in Colorado. It took me 10 hours, 44 minutes from the time I left Fort Stockton to the time I pulled into the garage, including a break for lunch, several stops for gas and snacks, and long slow 40mph sections over Raton pass and between Colorado Springs and Denver dealing with snow and sleet.

No tickets.

WOWOWOWOOWOWOWWOWOWOWWW!!! :2tu: Thanks for the clip! What a blast!

You guys should come. They had lots of folks from far-away spots on the East and West coasts. However, there were only three Vipers there. The guy who took first place in the 150mph average class (a seriously bad-ass accomplishment) was in a Viper GTS ACR coupe. 130 wasn't super hard, although I was glad I showed up a couple days early for the rookie school and practice runs.
If you've got a roll-bar and like to go fast, make the trip. They have two races; one in April, and one in October.
Seriously fun.
