California? I'm suprised you didn't have to fluff dry it.

Thanks for the info.

just did it last week!
go to the laundry mat.. take another car... don't want to be the well off **** at laundry mat while the poor girl next to you is struggling for rent money was washing her clothes...

anyhow...
take the big machine (usually they have a 2 or 3)
takes 12 quarters and less soap is better in the machine.
I just used a little tide liquid detergent.
in 35 mins a beautiful clean cover. don't add fabric softer.
I was afraid of shrinking it... so use cold water only and don't dry it there. I took it hope damp and just laid it out on top of the couch for a day and it drying nicely.
good luck

I have the embroidered Viper car cover for my RT/10 and would like to know how to clean it. Would a cleaners shop know how to wash one? Are there any special considerations? Can they just do a regular wash on it?

Thanks,
Matt

Sure does, Chuck, but our place has a few bigger machines...I figured if my former Superbird's cover fit..this little Viper cover should. It worked out fine...just took awhile in the dryer. (Have to use low-heat) Mine is a California Car Cover cotton cover with flannel lining.
