That's someones Viper from this forum. I remember that pic from anywhere. and a 2000 viper doesn't caome in that color, and I don't see him mention a paint job.

One weird thing is under a list of his current cars, 1996 Dodge Viper. Under another part where he has videos, it's labeled 2002. On this auction, it's listed as a 2000?! He can't seem to make up his mind

Just recently I bidded on some Vesano blue GTS Viper seats, the seats never reached reserve, but one week later I got a second chance email offer from a scammer claiming to be the owner...But, I knew the real owner, this scammer got cought hard....I set his stupid asp up...I am a retired sheriffs investigator, turned his IP address and emails over to the Feds....probably come back from some 3rd world country .....

I too found this to be the blatant giveaway that something was up. Afterall, what legit viper owner doesnt know the year of his or her own car? Add to that, the fact that he mentions a fan mod and K&N filters, but fails to mention a much more costly wheel mod. C'mon.

Who knows what "all runs were done in fourth gear" means.

Maybe its my eyes, but I still can't see a cassette player in that picture either.

SCARY - that ebay listing is almost word-for-word off of Brooks' website.

I would like to ask those of you in the "know" a question. Obviously as viper owners, it is easy for us to identify the viper scams. Is my guess correct that these scams are happening in possibly all ebay catagories? Makes me wonder how large the problem is.
