I have about 1K miles on my 04/SRT... When the car is idling and at low speeds I hear the valves ticking (at least it sounds like the valves). Is this normal? I don't hear it while accelerating.

Max,
That clunk may be something...I have had a few differentials come apart already. The spider gears are coming apart in the carrier. The '03 differentials had a weak cross pin also which could be a problem . Turning up the radio may only fix that for a while.
Later,
Joe

The noises are somewhat normal, and since were talking about the rear of the car now, that clunky noise is normal, since were sitting right near the very short, aluminum driveshft, and bear in mind that it's between a very big transmission, and differential. I think by adding just one pound of insulation up in the tunnel, would eliminate some of this noise.
