Here are some new pics of my Viper with my new Autoform hardtop. Let me know what you think, I think that this is what the gen 1 should have looked like from the factory.

How does that top go on does it fit overthe factory pillars or do you have to remove them I see a lot of glue on the driverside door, or maybe it is whether protectant. But anyway how does it go on?

Pattymelt, you have one of the nicest Gen 1's I've ever seen. I prefer the Gen 1 over the Gen 3, but HATE the Gen 1 3 spoke wheels, softttop and plastic windows. Your car is the Gen 1 I'd love to have. Congrats on a great looking car. Contact me when you decide you want to sell your car.

Looks good, I like how the top has the painted A pillars. Almost looks like a coupe!!

Nice pics to!

Your Gen 1 looks great. Speaking of Autoform, at the Viper Days at Putnam Park recently there was a black SRT-10 w/ Autoform top and the new coupe in black. When they were on the track at a relatively close distance I had trouble telling the difference.

I love my Autoform top. One thing I don't like to much are the windows. Not a very big opening to "pass" something through such as a drink if you go to a drive thru. I drive to Illinois throughout the summer and I go to the manual lanes and hand the person the money. But the top is "kewl"! (spelling Leslie?)
Gerald, my Viper is for sale, wanna buy it?

Thanks guys. The top attaches with two latches under the front of the hood and where the pillars meet, there has to be 6 holes drilled for the brackets but no big deal. It attaches on the rear sportbar just like stock. Other than drilling a few holes there is no modifications needed. The top fits perfect and does not rattle or leak. IL96RT10, it juat slips right on just like a stock soft/hard top. The pillars of the top slide over the pillars of the windsheild. I am not sure what you say looks like glue, but it is prob the weather stripping. Thanks guys!
