Does anyone know a good shop in Las Vegas that can install a 150 shot of nitrous. I am going to get the nx express kit for mine.

You can install the kit yourself, really isn't that hard to do, electrical hookup is where I have problems. Get it tuned on a dyno though. Don't forget to install 1 step colder plugs before you dyno it though.

Don't skimp by not getting a MSD window switch. It will make life much easier when shifting and eliminate the possibility of a Nitrous backfire. Also, you may want to consider getting an NX 3switch panel as the switches fit right into the center vent on a gen 1. Arming, purging, bottle opener, and bottle heater on 1 nice neat panel. I opted for the bottle opener and would recommend it so that you do not have to open and close the trunk. Most of all, good plugs and a good tune.

Find a good installer to do the work. Paid $500.00 for Car Boutique in Chicago to install NX Express Kit, w/GenX 2 upgrade, window switch, bottle opener. Paid $200.00 for 12 pulls for tuning.

So far I don't use it much but the 200 shot does not appear to have any adverse effects on the motor.

Good luck.

I plan on getting the bottle opener, how much did you pay for your kit for everything, besides the install and dyno?

The window switch is good but if you know what your doin, I wouldnt worry about it. I dont have one on my Viper or my Mustang and i've been running nitrous on my Stang for years :) But as they say better safe than sorry right?? Eh?

OhioDoc,

The cost is as follows:

$1050 kit w/genx 2 upgrade from Nitro Daves.
$ 200 NX Express bottle opener and MSD switch from a VCA member.
$ 60 NX Express switch
$ 40 alternative tuning NX valves plus the the valve holder.
$ 125 custom aluminum machined bottle holder with handle
$ 75 diamond steel chrome plat mount for trunk. (very nice)
$ 500 installation for kit, window switch, purge valve, custom switches, opener.
$ 200 12 dyno tuning pulls

Everything is clean and does not require exiting the vehicle to arm.

$2,250.00 total, but I got the opener at a great price!

Cool, I just have to find a place here in vegas to do it. I hope to dip into the 11's this year with the nitrous. Only thing I have done so far is 3.55 gears and different exhaust.

OhioDoc:

I have a a dual stage set up if you are interested.

1.(2) NOS Pro-Shot solenoids and (2) fuel solenoid.

2. (2) NX Dual Stage Shark Nozzles.

3. Complete range of NX jets.

4 16' braided feed line.

The solenoid system is complete it is plumbed with (8) braided hoses. It now feeds into two chrome smoth tubes. Everthing sits on a single base that mounts between the smooth tubes. I set this up late in 2004, then took a different direction, in affect it has no hours on it. I also have single stage nozzles if you choose not to go dual stage.

All you would need to complete the set up is bottle and some relays. These are the high end NOS solenoids and the premium NX nozzles. If you are intrested send me an email. I can also walk your installer thru the installation. You can go on to my "My Gallery", there are pictures of the set-up.

As far as the window switches go, the MSD switch is adequete at best, it is inaccurate and fragile. As someone else has said, the VEC2 gives you more flexibility, plus, it allows you to fine tune your a/f, which is not possible with jetting alone. In tandem the window switch (via the VEC2) and a WOT switch give you a lot of safety.
