Re: NY/CT Region 2nd Annual LIMEROCK PARK DRIVER\'S SCHOOL

Just curious is many of you are considering spending the night (Friday and or Saturday). If there's interest, then I can hold some rooms. Unfortunately, the area around Lakeville is seriously "upscale" making all the local lodging rather expensive. Let me know what you all think and I can modify my search to accommodate. If necessary, there are several "drive up" motels in the area (relatively inexpensive) that would do just fine...as opposed to some of the "historic Inns" that are quite beautiful but rather expensive (say $200 a night and up).
Spoke with the Interlaken Resort which is arguably the nicest Hotel in the vicinity (5 minutes to the track) and they'll discount their rooms for VCA Club members to $199 / night. This is a good rate for this caliber of lodging, with gourmet restaurant, heated pool, fitness center, tennis, golf, etc., all on or adjacent to their site.

I'd appreciate some idea of interest in reserving rooms.

u bet your azzes im back...first call i made when i got back was to chuck. im goin catless. i saw a really kewl murcielago in yellow in L.A on sunset blvd and this guy was spitting flames out his rear. im like i want that too when i get back and called chuck and roe racing this A.M and ordered what i needed.

Doesn't D need a spark arrestor so he doesn't throw flames on the track?
His new setup sounds very very dangerous. KEEP BACK 500 FEET

That fire thingy is called a "Flame Thrower". It has been around for years as a Hot Rod item. Off road. Very illegal to us on the street :nono: Did I say ILLEGAL------I mean,"do not get CAUGHT" :D They're available at www.autoloc.com search: flame thrower. $125 for single exhaust, $199 for dual exhaust. 1 to 2 hours to install your self.

Not sure yet since the Aston Martin club hasn't received their 2006 bill....but I'm sure it's not going to be less than last year. Our prices for 2005 were about $275 for the day.

SRT's can run with their soft tops up. In a "school" event, they are allowed to run.

SRT's with a soft top can run behind an instructor. We may have an advanced SRT group depending on how many SRT's we have that are advanced. And we will definitely have more then just me as the only instructer.Last year was not as we intended and we will have many instructors on hand.

Re: NY/CT Region 2nd Annual LIMEROCK PARK DRIVER\'S SCHOOL

FYI...
I've been getting several calls and emails from folks being concerned with potential damage to their Viper resulting from racing on the track.

This is a driving school. It is highly likely that weekend "spirited" driving will "damage" your Viper more than the novice group at our school event. Unless you intend to join the most advanced group (which will require our instructor's prior approval) you will be spending most of your time learning the best "line" on the track at legal highway speeds. Our event is designed FOR BEGINNERS AND NOVICE DRIVERS.

Are we using Skip Barber's track vipers or do we drive our own cars?
