This is more like a FYI for those that might ever have this problem and need any info:
After changing the timing chain gasket, I noticed that oil was leaking somewhere between the transmission and the oil pan. Took it to the dealer and ran the smoke test. We noticed smoke coming out of the retainer seal right in front of the transmission.
So, he took the transmission off to confirm and the retainer gasket is bust. To get to it, he also had to remove the retainer plate and seal. Although the seal looks good, I didn't want to take any chances with the 10 yr old seal [ok, I'm not that brainy, it was Chuck T's suggestion] and getting the seal changed as well. Hopefully this will fix my oil leak issues.
Retainer Gasket - $23
Retainer Seal Assembly - $160
Labor - $500 approx.
The dealer could not guarantee the parts will be there overnight. So, I called Chuck T and he shipped them overnight to the dealer.
