Rattle in Dash

I'm posting this for a member in SoCal, since I have not heard this one.

"I have a 2004 Viper that has a huge rattle in the dash. Sounds like it is somewhere around AC vents perhaps. It only rattles when temperature is above 90 degrees. I have taken it in for service twice and they never fix it. This can't be such an unusual problem in the 2004's. Have any of your club members ever experienced this problem?"


If anyone has experienced this or has a solution. Please advise.

I had this same issue in my 03. Took it to Jack Powell Dodge in Escondido. They had a TSB on the item. (TSB 23 027 03-Trim defroster.) Think they fixed it from the firewall, but they may have needed to remove dash. Car has been quiet since.
