Rear Toe Stiffeners: do they really matter, and who even makes them?

Hey all, I’ve seen a few threads discussing this with no clear conclusion, as well as a few articles claiming one thing or another. Is anyone able to clarify if toe stiffeners for the rear are really necessary (the deflection has already been discussed to death) or even beneficial, and is there anyone still making them for those that are interested?

If you are talking about the rear toe link bracing, there are different companies doing either inner bracing or outer bracing at the knuckle. You could probably fab one up with cardboard and have send cut send make it for less than some of the ridiculous prices that are out there for such a simple component.

My two cents on it being necessary or not. If you track the car in any regular capacity, couldn't hurt to reinforce those components. They don't just explode with normal use, but metal does fatigue with repeated hard work. Even wheel spokes on track cars crack if beat on through enough races. If you do the occasional enthusiast track day, and you aren't competing near the limits of the car, not much of a concern.

^This is good advice.^
I made my own inboard stiffeners 20 years ago and it really settled the throttle steer down at the track. I found a set of knuckle link stiffeners 5 years ago and they made a positive difference as well. As I recall, maybe not as impactful as the inboards though. My car has over 6000 track miles on it.

Viper Anti-Toe Brackets

I installed these when I rebuilt my suspension. I was amazed how flimsy that inner toelink bracket looked. I wanted to future proof for more regular autocross aspirations.

My rear knuckles will get reinforced with something I'll have fabbed up, because my rear brakes aren't a common setup and get in the way of any off the shelf brackets. Definitely curious to see Dean's inboard brackets. That dude brings the receipts regarding what is track functional with these cars.
