Sorry to hear that you are having trouble. As Steve-Indy said, it probably the Power Steering. I experienced the same thing and the Dodge Service Rep said that one of the hoses had come loose at the Power Steering unit. Note, continuing to drive the car may result in further problems as the Power Steering Pump also drives the hydraulic engine-cooling fan. My engine certainly overheated quickly. I believe that one Viper owner who had like problems stated that his Power Steering unit was ruined by the time he returned home, perhaps due to running the car with the Power Steering unit "dry".
