RPM lead for data logging

Does anyone know which wire I need to tap into for the rpm signal? I don't have my manual and not sure...

Where do you want to get the signal. For my shift light I did it the hard way and got the wire at the back of the tach. I can see what color it is if you want to chase it elsewhere.

pin #31 on the grey capped plug on the pcm is the tach signal for my 2001. don't remember the color off hand, but I think it was a combination of blue with green trace or vice versa.



otherwise you can hook into one of the ignition drivers like pin #3 on the at the black capped plug (red/yl wire)

oh yeah...real easy when you are staring at a service manual mister..........while you are at it let me know what cylinder pin #3 red/yl(black connector) controls??????




is it # 2 cylinder by chance?
