squeaky brakes?

my brakes squeak like a s.o.b.....is this normal or do i have cheap brake pads on??if so, which ones are the best to buy?

Normal - fairly high metallic content in the pads. Mine are the most annoying when unde light pressure and quiet right down when I go for the big -dv/dt!

Race brakes squeak. They won't squeak at the track.

EBC pads (Green) available from several site sponsors will fix the problem. Or, as I was told... Brake Harder!

I put EBC greens on the front of my Durango and 96 RT/10, have squeak in both, much worse than stock on the Durango, about
the same as stock on the RT/10...Concensous is I did not scuff the rotors enough, I scuffed the rotors with an orbital sander and conventional
sand paper (120 grit)...I am told I most likely did not get a good enough non-directional pattern onto the rotors...So I bought a 3M rotor
scuffing kit from the local parts store, but it works on a drill, so I have not read the directions yet, but hope to get to it soon...

On my RT, if I brake normal, I get squeak, quite a bit...If I brake harder, no squeak...

EBC will eliminate the squeak and the dust. Contact Steve Pasztor at Great Brakes 972-743-9443 for the best service.

You didn't say if you were going to do any tracking. If so, do not track with EBC Greens or Reds. They will wear too fast. Dragstrip is ok.

probably just an occational 1/4 mile blast is all i see for my new snake...the ebc's eliminate dust as well?
