Well, I got my hands on one ... no way, jose ... it won't fit on my 2005 SRT Roadster. The Roadster has a raised area that the standard fuel door mounts to ... this would have to be cut away from the body panel (under the fuel door), and with new holes drilled, to make the SRT Coupe stainless steel fuel cap fit ... not gonna do it

How much did you pay for it? Do you have the 2006 service manual that shows the differences? I'm still tempted to modify the body panel, powder coat the coupe cap black and have my body shop do what's necessary to make it work on my black 2005.

If you do have the service manual, would you be willing to scan or fax the appropriate pages to me. My manual covers 2004/2005.

It was about $675. I do not have the manual, and I don't think it would help anyway. The images on the parts dept. computer were not helpful. I thought about trimming the inside panel too, but I really think the rear quarter panel would need to be removed so that the cutting, sanding and sealing could be done right, since there will surely be moisture around the fuel door.

OUCH! Thanks for the answer. Sounds like if I ever plan to do this, I might as well start with something like a GTS cap and good custom body shop.
