For those in the Rendezvous area. How's the gas/hi-test supply in St. Louis? Lines? I thought I saw yesterday where Indy was having some supply problems.

I also saw on national news about supply problems in Indy. Personally, I have not seen it and I'm here in Indy. It's only one chain, Crystal Flash, which is probably 1% of all gas stations and I have not run across any gas stations out of gas here. Newscasters are trying to add fuel to a fire that ain't there.

I went out last night to fill up my Jeep with the regular stuff and it took me 3 gas stations to find it ($2.99). I don't live too far from the Rendevous site. There were no lines because there was no Regular. One station was also out of the mid-grade. All had the Viper fuel. I heard the prices went up again this morning ($3.29). Last night I noticed the pump wasn't pumping real fast - I couldn't tell if the underground tank was almost empty or if the digital price gauge couldn't keep up! The next week will be interesting.

I consider myself a Capitalist but why do the oil companies continue to post record earnings?

Agree with Gerald...have had NO trouble here in Indy...one chain was short earlier this week.

Jast returned from fueling one Viper at a northwest side Shell on I-65(ALWAYS more expensive here...especially on a long holiday weekend!!)...93 octane was $3.61/ gal.

Gas here was $3.54 for hi-test yesterday, but this morning regular dropped back to $2.99. Could be higher again now? Looks like every day will be a different story until things level out a little. I'll be bringing a couple bottles of booster just in case. Good point above about the cheaper brands selling out first.

Thanks--Steve

Drove from Michigan to Minnesota yesterday. the prices fell the further west I went. Here in St. Paul it is 2.7x vs the 3.4x I paid yesterday in Michigan.

I really don't think that anyone driving thru Indy to the Zone Rendezvous will have any fuel problems next weekend...BUT, if you do, let me know if I can help.
