Finally had a chance to get the Stoptechs i puchased from Jon B installed at Tators. First I must say Chuck runs a first class operation and Rob is the best out there. Where else can you stick around and watch the mods first hand. As for Jon B. he gave me some valuable feedback regarding purchasing rotors and also gave me a fantastic price. I recommend to all to use both.

With the rotor upgrade I went with EBC reds since I figured i would change the pads out while the brakes were done. The Reds are also supposed to be low dust which will be a nice change compared to the stock pads.

As for my review - i must say this set up is awesome. With only 20 miles or so on the rotors, the initial bite and braking is amazing. I also did notice a slight improvement in ride quality due to the weight savings of the rotors. I did get the same residue on my wheels as Fast Too and Dan L. mentioned so I will have to take the wheels off to clean them up once the pads and rotors are fully seated.

Finally i must note that the stoptechs look amazing behind my HREs. Here are some pics for your enjoyment.

I would recommend to anyone contemplating this mod to go ahead. The stock brakes are awesome but this setup is unbelievable.

Really, I'm not having dust issues with my Reds. Let us know what you think of the Hawks when you get them on.

Too much dust? I thought everyone was claiming that they were less dust? So long as they are better than the stock pads regarding the dust issue, i will be happy.

I have the stoptechs as well. If you are going to be doing any track time, makes sure you follow the bed-in procedure included with the kit. (10 near-ABS stops of 60 mph to about 10 mph, wait 5-10 min with no braking, then repeat).
