Stupid question about water pump

What's involved in a rebuild, besides the impeller upgrade? Are there bearings that are replaced? How is the shaft sealed?

My experience is that the seal ages out LONG BEFORE the bearings do. I haven't found a vendor for the seals by themselves, or the bearing/seal cartridge.

Thanks for that heads up. Never liked the price of first born child to get a water pump rebuilt. I figure it's in the cards for a rebuild at some point in the near future.

There are 2 different impeller hub diameters - 12mm and 5/8". Somewhere between '98 and '99 is where they got bigger. Here's what the innards look like:
