Is changing the water jacket crossover gaskets anything like changing blinker fluid?

It is much easier when you use two muffler bearings and a quart of prop wash, then finagling the gaskets in place!

Another VCA noob here who wants to second the thanks to Chuck Tator. I called him last friday during a snowstorm and he called me right back, and gave me almost an hour of his time for $100 in parts. Chuck is a true gentleman and someone who I look forward to doing business with moving forward.
