I've been working one corner at a time for too long. What's the best way to get the entire car (or at least one half of it...vs 1/4 of it) off the ground?

I get the floor jack matched up to the oval jackpoint at one corner and lift that corner, but want to use a jackstand so I can get other corners in the air at the same time. Where does one put the jackstand if the oval jackpoint is unavailable (because the floorjack is on it)?

Get a long chassis floor jack or a scissor jack, those short aluminum jacks won't work because you can't operate the handle with the jack under the car. Jack up the front at the center line lift point and put the stands under the front lift points. There is no centerline lift point at the rear so get a piece of steel long and strong enough to span the frame rails. Jack up the rear and put the stands under the rear lift points.

The options are endless, really. You can use a jack and jack stands, you can go with a KwikLift like me (if you are space linited), or you can do what many have done on go with the scissor lift or the full four-post lift. Its all about the Benjamins. :) All have their distinct advantages as well as disadvantages.

Obviously, if you want all four (or two) wheels off the ground at the same time, the choices are a little more slim. Many have had success with the scissor lift. :)

Ron- Very Interested in that lift you have there as well. I have seen it somewhere before, but I'll be damned if I remember where...

Nussbaum is the manufacturer. Made in Germany, avail in blue only. 7,000lbs capacity with lift height of 6' 7". Drive over height of 4". Bolted to floor so it is not movable. Very stable, had a Denali XL 4WD on it the other day. Many new Lexus dealerships are installing these as their only style lift.

There is a also new model with higher capacity for those that need it. Perfect solution for those wanting a wheels free lift and doesn't have the garage width or floor thickness for a two post. Can also be installed flush in the floor if desired.

Not the least expensive solution however. Near 5K. VCA discount avail if anyone is interested.

Jim Wilson shows pictures above of his Bend-pak. His appears to be a Model SP-7. Bend-pak also has a SP-7X which has a longer set of runners going onto and off of the lift. Looks like it is more for low clearance vehicles than the SP-7 in a typical on floor set-up, rather than the way Jim put his in the floor (by the way, way to go Jim!). Anybody seen or used the SP-7X model?
