Time to upgrade the Gen 1 exhaust...advice???

Okay...first off, I am a budget Viper owner so I don't see spending several thousand dollars on an exhaust in my future right now. I would like to get as much bang for the buck that I can. I currently have the stock setup on my 94 minus the cats.

So...what do you folks recomend for options (oh, and I have to put on cats so that will need to be included).

The roe setup is cool, but I just wanted to find out what you folks think.

I have the ROE high-flow cats and their exhaust. Sounds GREAT, greatly reduces cabin heat, in my opinion, gives an actual noticible feel in power...Not to mention thier prices are MORE than fair...All around can' beat it.

I have to agree with ViperJames on this. I have the ROE kit on my 94. I had a little trouble with mine. The stock pipe was the same size as the new one so I called them and they told me that only a handfull of vipers are like this and they told me exactly what i needed to do to fix it. easy fix. Great people to deal with and prices are great.

I just replaced the exhaust on my 95. A while ago Joseph Dell posted on a cheap and easy exhaust upgrade, I did my own version of this post.

I went to a muffler shop and purchased two pieces of 2.5" exhaust tube pre measured, cut and flared. I then slipped the flared end over the existing exhaust tube. (I cut the existing tube just after the 90 degree bend directly behind the front tires and before the stock cats). I then connected the new tube to 2.5" inlet Dynomax Race Mufflers from Summit Racing. I then connected the original turnouts from my stock exhaust to the 2.5" outlet on the mufflers. I temporarily clamped it all together and went back to the exhaust shop and had it welded together. A band clamp for the front and a easily home made bracket/hanger for the rear and it was done.

Dynomax Race Mufflers -$70
Exhaust tube (cut, flared & welded) - $20
Band clamps - $30
Misc Bolts, nuts & lock washers -$7
Total cost $127
Totol Time approximately 8hours. (Including driving to get material, welding etc.)

You cant beat this upgrade for the price. The sound is awesome - loud but not too loud. Side sills stay cool.

yup...that is what I did...but i figured since I need to put cats on for emissions, then I might as well see what other options are out there

If no one mentioned this, you might want to find a newer set of the oem tubular headers, I believe they are 1999 and newer. A bunch of people should have them due to take-offs.
