track tire options

I'm thinking about track wheel/tire options for the viper coupe. I couldn't find anything in a 19, but even in 18's it doesnt look like RA-1's will work, for example. Anyone running a coupe or SRT-10 on the track with R compounds? What wheel sizes/tire sizes are you using?

18 x 13 rear wheels
18 x 11 front wheels

Tires that fit these sizes (front; rear):

Kumho Ecsta V700 305/30 WR18; 335/30 WR18
Michelin Pilot Sport Cups 295/30 ZR18; 345/30 ZR18

Hey Kai,

Don't forget that Hoosiers will fit on those rims too.

I just put a set of Hoosiers on 18 x 11 (fronts) and 18 x 11 (rears) Forgeline SX3Rs with black centers. Tire sizes were 305 front, 334 rear. I think these are the rims that Naykid Racing uses. Very light, strong, VRL approved and look very aggressive on my black SRT-10.

I think that Kumho is phasing out the V-700s as I'm having trouble finding them, especially the fronts.

Parts Rack seems to like the Proxes. Check with JonB

Hoosiers are cool, but at least at tire rack, they don't have hoosiers in stock Coupe wheel sizes. I was hoping to find out what size wheels (maybe actual models) and tires people are running on their SRT-10's. Thanks guys, gives me some things to think about.

You want to run 305/18s in front anyway, and you should be able to get them from a couple of places. I know Bobby Archer Motorsports provides all the Hoosiers for Viper Days, so check with him at 817-877-1772 and good luck.


PS - they will fit the stock rims.
